Arnie McKenzie is an interdisciplinary artist from New Zealand, now based in Berlin, working across painting, drawing, animation, and textile. Her work deals with the complications of sexuality, disobedient bodies, self-depiction and the unconscious. Bold colours, cartoonish whimsy, and tongue-in-cheek sensibility are her weapons of choice.

She has worked as a restoration artist for antique dolls, teddy bears, and toys, as a film prop maker, and as a fashion designer; contributing design and craft to a show featured at Berlin Fashion Week in 2024. Her pieces have been worn by artists such as Lady Gaga, Peaches, and Nina Hagen.

Her work has been exhibited at Glass Box Gallery in Santa Barbara, Projectspace in Auckland, and the LA Femme International Film Festival in Budapest.
